The Joya De Nicaragua Numero Uno was once a special cigar meant only for Nicaraguan ambassadors to personally hand to world leaders. Well now, Joya de Nicaragua has released this cigar as a limited small batch release, only 1,500 boxes have been produced worldwide according to Dr. Alejandro Martínez Cuenca, Joya de Nicaragua’s owner. The Joya de Nicaragua Número Uno comes in only one vitola, a 6 5/8 inch by 44 ring gauge lonsdale that sports a fantail cap dubbed L’Ambassadeur. Both the binder and filler are all Nicaraguan tobaccos, while the wrapper is a lightly hued, Connecticut-seed leaf grown under the cloudy skies of Ecuador.
